“Shakes & Solids”
Three shakes per day program structure:
This program utilizes 3 shake supplements per day that are mixed with cold water or milk and fruit if desired. These low carbohydrate, protein enhanced shakes are combined with low glycemic index foods, nutrition education, and medical monitoring. Appetite suppressants can be prescribed if not contraindicated.
These nutritious shakes are used during the “Active Weight Loss Phase” to prevent loss of lean muscle. The range of calorie counts are from 1000 to 1500+/day depending on your resting metabolic rate, physical exam, current medications, lab results, and how much weight there is to lose.
During this phase which usually lasts 90 days, you can expect to lose 3-5 pounds per week of healthy weight loss. Nutrition education with lists of all low glycemic food options (foods you would normally buy at the store), as well as how much of these foods you can consume will be provided. There is no guess work!
When we are 5-10 pounds from your goal we will start the 4 week transition phase. This is where we reduce the amount of shakes/day and increase the amount of solid foods. You will have your resting metabolic rate and body fat percentage measured at the end of your program as well!
3 Shakes per day program cost:
Initial Month: $711.00
Includes: History and physical, a complete laboratory analysis (includes all hormone levels if needed), EKG, ReeVue: Resting Metabolic Rate Analysis, Body Fat Analysis, and four weeks worth of shakes. During the first month, every patient has an initial visit with two follow-up visits. The initial and second visits are in person, the third follow up is a ZOOM call. I include an extra follow-up by ZOOM because there are many medical and psychological issues that may need to be discussed during this initial month.
Subsequent Months: $436.00*
Includes: All shakes, and two every other week follow-up visits.
Transition Phase (4 weeks): $237.00
Includes: You start this transition having two weeks of shakes at 2/day with an increase in the amount of solid foods included. The last 2 weeks we will establish a healthy food program of solid food. You will have office visits at the beginning of the transition, after two weeks as we transition to a healthy eating and exercise life style. Then at the end of this 4 week transition we will have one last follow-up to measure and discuss your new resting metabolic rate and body fat percent!
*Additional costs may be required if there is a need for follow-up labs to track thyroid function, diabetes, hormone levels, or anemia etc. that are being treated.
